Day Three: Weight of Chaos

I couldn't find my coat because it was hanging up-

Right where it was supposed to be!

I finally cleaned my closet, and I can’t find a thing.

It was easier before, because I knew it was on the floor

or somewhere where it shouldn't be.

But I would find it quicker.

Retraining this chaotic brain of mine,

that simple is good.

So simple, but this has complicated my life, or do I complicate it?

I am allowed to live a non chaotic life.

Do I give up and throw all my clothes back on the floor so i will know where to find them?

The weight of Chaos: complete disorder and confusion

I think of pig pen

Wherever he went the dust ball followed him,

or did he create it?

How do you add a pound of chaos to your day?

It is so subtle, but it is there.

How do you complicate simplicity without even knowing it

because simple seems too easy?

But God..

Knowing that we need

Simple in the midst of complicated

Rest in the midst of a mess

Order in the midst of disorder...

He did something about it

And sent Peace in the midst of chaos

Jesus...

Who

Brings order into disorder

Rest in the midst of a mess

He is quite simple

Because He is right where He always is

with me

with you.

Even though I know exactly where He is ..

I will look for Him in other places

And when I do

I create chaos

Because He hasn't moved.

But

He waits

with outstretched arms

Ready to take our hand

To bring simple

instead of chaos.

So today

Let's fast from Chaos...

And

hang up your coat

And live simply

Because

He simply wants to walk with you.

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.

The Lord be with all of you.”
