Day Six: What Do You Have to Lose

Where did that lost hour go, when we turned our clocks forward?

Wherever it may be

It may appear to be lost

but it is found....

How about in that extra hour of sunshine at the end of the day?

So we will adjust our inner clocks to compensate for the loss.

Loss is gain.

As we are losing those nasty pounds daily,

we are gaining more of Jesus.

What stubborn pound do you need to lose?

Now it is your turn.

Through our 40 Day Journey, Sundays will be your day

to fast from what is weighing you down.

Whatever it may be...

Is it a habit that you just can't seem to break.

Is it a negative emotion that consumes you

Is it a relationship that brings you down

Is it a _________________________?

You fill in the blank. (share if you like)

Letting go is hard to do

because it leaves behind a hole

that needs to be filled.

But

it becomes easier when

Jesus becomes the One whom you release it to

Because

He will replace whatever you need to lose

with Himself

enabling

you to

Spring Forward.

Therefore,

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

I Peter 5:6-7

And

Fast from whatever is weighing you down

By casting it upon

the One

Who

has so much for you to gain.

And you will...

"...count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One)."
