Day 7: I'm Jealous of...

If

"God is jealous for me"

why be jealous of anyone or anything else?

Your Creator

knitted you together in your mother's womb

on purpose

for a purpose

because

He is jealous for you.

But

Jealousy consumes us,

It comes in all shapes and forms...

Facebook pictures of the happy family

Instagram pictures of the perfect day

Snapchat quick moments capturing laughter.

Yes it brings joy to see the happy moments in someone's life,

but what happens when you start painting a perfect picture of what you think

their life is,

based on a picture.

Who posts pictures of the

trial that they going through,

the messy moments

of

what is really is going on in their heart?

Before you become

jealous of someone,

Do you know their whole story~

Have you walked in their shoes?

But...

We look at the pictures and we want what others have.

Jealousy Defined: feelings of frustration and bitterness because we cannot obtain what we want; finding fault with those who have what we want or who keep us from getting it. (Bible.org)

Who are you jealous of?

What are you jealous of?

Do you know that someone is jealous of you?

We all have something that someone wishes they had,

even if you think you don't have anything.

There is one person whom you should be jealous of and that is you!

Be jealous that you are breathing today

Be jealous that you are reading today

Be jealous that you have a

Jealous

God who is jealous for you!

God is a jealous God.

"God's jealousy is love in action. He refuses to share the human heart with any rival, not because He is selfish and wants us all for Himself, but because He knows that upon that loyalty to Him depends our very moral life. God is not jealous of us: He is jealous for us.” (David Guzik)

God is jealous for you

He just wants you.

The you

He created

Because He so loves you

Because you are so precious to Him.

For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be His people, His treasured possession.

Deuteronomy 7:6

So

Let's fast from

Jealousy

by letting go of whomever or whatever you are jealous of

by taking the hand of the

Jealous One

Who wants to walk with you!
