I can't find my keys
when they are in my hand
I can't find my sunglasses
when they are on my head
And the best one yet,
I am talking on the phone and looking for it at the same time
and I still can't find it!
Sound familiar to you?
looking for something you already have
But what about~
I can't find peace
I can't find hope
I can't find love
so you look for it in all the wrong places
because
what you have
where you are
is just not enough
and
you just won't be happy until
you find it....
But did you know that
you are
looking for something you already have
What are you looking for?
What are your areas of discontent?
Be content with what you have because it is what you have
Be content for where you are because that is where you are
Be content waiting for what you want because God knows what you need
What if God froze your life this second and this is how it would be the rest of your life?
You could see this as a blessing or a curse, depending on how you look at it.
Would God be enough
if you never got what you really wanted?
but
What if you what you have right now is exactly what you needed~
would that be enough?
God sent Jesus to
to be your everything,
and if He is all your had
would He be enough?
Hmm....
Of course the right answer is YES but isn't it hard...
~to be content in the moment no matter if you are hungry, angry, lonely, tired or bored
~to be content in the moment no matter if your are happy or sad
~to be content in the moment no matter if I am _____________.
Only if I could be
Content.
Paul tell us in Philippians 4:12 that he
“...learned to be content in all circumstances”
In ALL circumstances..
"whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. Philippians 4:12
Contentment doesn’t mean being satisfied with the end result. It means being okay with where you are today,
where you were yesterday,
and not worrying about tomorrow.
Content:
"a state of satisfaction"
Satisfaction:
"fulfillment of one's wishes, expectations, or needs, or the pleasure derived from this"
But then there is
the Law definition of satisfaction:
the payment of a debt or fulfillment of an obligation
Content
in
Jesus~
the One who paid our debt
Only He satisfies fully.
It isn’t in my fulfillment of “my” wishes,
"expectations, or needs, or the pleasure derived from this"
because God has
His wishes,
His expectations
for me that
He wants to fill.
It isn’t about
my wishes,
my expectations
or
my needs
unless they are what He wants,
and if He wants what He knows is best for me then
I am
then
you are
content
to be..
right where you are, wherever you may be
right where you are, no matter what you may be feeling...
content
to be satisfied
because Jesus satisfied
by living out the law definition of satisfaction..
"the payment of a debt or fulfillment of an obligation".
So
Let's Fast from
Discontentment
by
Eating
the
Only
Food that
Fully
Satisfies~
I AM the Bread of Life
he who comes to Me
will never go hungry
&
he who believes in Me
will never be thirsty
