The diagnosis is in
Tinnitus
a word that I can't even pronounce
but a word that I have to deal with.
Simplified~
Ringing in the ears.
Yup
Besides my gazillion thoughts
that fill my brain non stop
I now have ringing.
It is like I have a circus in my head.
It is not life threatening
but I will make it life threatening
when I
focus
on the ringing
because
all I will hear is the ringing in my head~
forever.
Forever~
as long as I am here,
I will have this...
So
Is this one of those
Light and momentary troubles
that is
achieving for me
an
eternal glory that
far outweighs them all? 2 Corinthians 4:17
Light and momentary
Scripture calls our troubles
Light and momentary
even though they seem quite burdensome.
BUT
Does God know how big
breast cancer or a brain tumor is...
0r
having a prodigal child
or
even an ache in your body,
or addiction is?
How are they
Light and momentary?
What is your Light and momentary trouble
that you are experiencing at this moment?
Whatever it may be
it is
Light and momentary
when
compared to the eternal glory
that we will be experiencing
in a blink of an eye.
Heavy on earth
but
light
in Glory eyes...
Now that is Forever!
“These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye.
The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow.
But the things we can't see now will last forever.”Corinthians 4:17-18
If we trust God with the big stuff~
Our Salvation...
why not trust Him with the "little" stuff...
the
Light and momentary~
what is seen here.
Size of
Our God
determines the size of
Our Faith.
Big God, Little Problem.
Little God, Big Problem
"God is bigger than the boogie man" (may I quote veggitales).
How do I move beyond
How do you move beyond
our
Light and momentary
Troubles?
So we’re
not giving up.
How could we!
Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us,
on the inside, where God is making new life,
not a day goes by without His unfolding grace. 2 Corinthians 4:16
So we
fix our eyes not on what is seen, or heard or felt
but on what is unseen, the One who sees, hears, and feels our pain
since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
My word for today is not
Tinnitus
Your word for today is not
______________________
(your "light and momentary" trouble)
Our Word for today is
Light and momentary
Because
our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that
far outweighs them all.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
