Day 20: Just Run

I finished the race

I crossed the finish line

yet I am still running

and you are too~

Even if

you don't like to run

Even if

you have never run

Even if

you don't own a pair of sneakers~

Running somewhere

Running to

or

Running away from

but

all

Running the Race

called life

to

a finish line

that we will all cross

in God's perfect timing.

But for now

we run the course

that is set before us.

The course

that changes daily

dictated by

what we see

what we are experiencing

whatever we or the loved ones around us are going through

How are you running your race?

Is it

by

Fear

or

Doubt

or

Anxiety

or

Anger

or

Bitterness

or

because of

what you are experiencing along your course?

Or are you

Running the Race

By

Faith

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:1-3

Running the Race

By

Grace

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:8-10

So you will

finish strong

having these words flow from your lips

when you cross the finish line

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

I finished the race. 2 Timothy 4:7

So

Let us

Run the Race

By

Faith

Let us

throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

What is weighing you down as you are running your race?

Let us

Run with perseverance the race marked out for us...Hebrews 12:1

Perseverance:

steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay

Running with perseverance

when the stumbling blocks before you appear to be so cumbersome.

To fix your eyes beyond the difficulty

beyond the delay

beyond the whatever you are

waiting

to happen

or

not to happen.

Fixing our eyes

off of the difficulty and

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame,

and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

Running the Race

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?
Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. I Corinthians 9:24-25

Running the Race

by

Faith

On our way to the finish line~

the day

we will

win the prize

because

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

I have finished the race.

2 Timothy 4:7
