Day 40: Clothe Yourself

The night is about over,

dawn is about to break....

Get out of bed and get dressed*

Brush your teeth

Drink you coffee, tea or smoothie

because

We can’t afford to waste a minute, must not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence, in sleeping around and dissipation, in bickering and grabbing everything in sight.*

But

there is one more thing

that has to be done

before you do the next thing...

Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute.

Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about! *Romans 13:12-14

Put on

Jesus

All of Him

And

His Protective Coat~

...with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,

with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace..*.

And

take up the shield of faith,

with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Take the helmet of salvation

and the

sword of the Spirit,

which is the Word of God.*

His Armor

when

Put on

enables you to

be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.*

Therefore

put on

the full Armor of God,

so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. *Ephesians 6

to

Put Off

the arrows

that come your way

to steal your

peace

joy

hope

love.

Put On

His Clothes~

Don't leave home without them

not only on this

40th Day of our Journey

but on the

41st Day

and the next day and the next...

as we continue

to walk with the One who wants to walk with us

beyond the 40th Day,

so

We stand in grace (Romans 5:2).

We stand in the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1).

We stand in courage and strength (1 Corinthians 16:13).

We stand in faith (2 Corinthians 1:24).

We stand in Christian liberty (Galatians 5:1).

We stand in Christian unity (Philippians 1:27).

We stand in the Lord (Philippians 4:1).

We should stand perfect and complete in the will of God (Colossians 4:12).
