I
prayed
because there was nothing else for me to do
and
Peace
filled my heart
Peace
filled the room
because
He was there
in
the hospital room
where my precious cousin
was sleeping.
He was there
because
He is always there
and
when you know
He is...
His Peace
overcomes you~
His Peace
that transcends all understanding
His Peace
that
you know can only be from Him
as there is no way
that I could have produced it on my own.
His Peace~
a confirmation
that
He is taking care of her.
His Peace~
knowing that He is with her.
His Peace~
knowing that
she loves Him
and that
she loves His Son
because
it is in them
where she has placed her hope.
So
I take her hand
as she sleeps
in her helpless state
and
I
in my helpless state
because
there was nothing else I could do.
Was I settling for second best
because there was nothing else I could?
Not at all
because
it is
what I need to do
always,
even when I think there is something I can do.
Prayer~
invites God into the room
Prayer~
acknowledges that
God is God
and that
He loves her more than I do,
as she is his daughter
just as I am
just as you are
because
of
His Beloved Son
that
He had to watch suffer
so that we do not,
even though we do suffer
when trials come into our life~
the
Unplanned
the
Accidents
like this one
that brought my cousin to the hospital bed.
But
God
was there
the moment I saw her face
the moment our eyes connected.
She knew,
as the tears flooded,
but the tears of
hope
because
she loves
and
I love
God
who gave us both a second chance
the moment we believed
in His Son.
As
I left the room
and kissed her goodbye
I knew she was in good hands
the moment
I
prayed
because there was nothing else I could do.
Look up
to the
One
who loves you perfectly
who is always with you
who created you on purpose
and
pray
when there is nothing else you can do
because
there is
something that
He can do...
Always.
Is there a "nothing else that you can do" circumstance
in your life at this moment?
Put Him in Your Story~
I, _____________, lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2
Please pray for my cousin,
my sister in Christ,
Lori
and her family,
to the
One
Who
always knows what to do.
