Day 17: Plagiarism

Back to Basics

Back to School

Plagiarism

the

big no no

in school.

Plagiarism: the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and

passing them off as one's own. (Oxford Reference)

So,

is it

plagiarism

when I say~

I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. or when I say~

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.

or when I say~

Lord, I believe, Help me with my unbelief

or when I say~

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it,

but it is sin living in me.

or when I say~

Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

Well I guess I am

plagiarizing

as I am taking Someone else's work and ideas and passing them off as my own

because they are

so true of me

as I could have penned them,

but only because

God wrote them on my heart

and that is where they are going to stay.

I may get a failing grade in school

if I

plagiarized

but I have to

plagiarize

in life

or I will fail

and I could never say

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

How can you Plagiarize today?
