Day 14: The Christmas Shoes

The Falalala is all around us~

Hope

fills the air.

Peace on earth goodwill to men~

Hope

fills the air.

But amongst the

Falalala

Life keeps going on~

as not only does

laughter fill the air

but

tears also fill the air~

Joy

and Sorrow

all around us

as we

Celebrate with loved ones

who are here

and

as we

Celebrate our loved ones

who are no longer here.

As much loss has happened this month

as loved ones

are now

dancing with

Jesus~

the Man

who once was

A Baby

Born in a manger

Born to

Restore all that is lost

Born to

Breath

Life back into death

to

make all things right.

Because

this is what Christmas is all about~

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelations 21:4

It all started in a manger

the moment

The Baby

let out His first cry

so

He could

hear your cries

and wipe your tears

because

Hope

fills the air

in the midst of the

Falalalala

to remind you what

Christmas is all about~

"It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood"*

&

then you

experience it~

"Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously Pacing 'round like little boys do And in his hands he held a pair of shoes His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe And when it came his time to pay I couldn't believe what I heard him say Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my mama, please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry, sir, daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes would make her smile And I want her to look beautiful if mama meets Jesus tonight" (The Christmas Shoes)

Joy

in the midst of sorrow

for

those who have gone before you

to meet

Jesus

because He said~

Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23: 43

Hope

fills the air.

Joy

in the midst of sorrow.

My heart is crushed with all of you

in the midst of your great losses.

Hugs those you love

and love those you hug

whether they are here with you

or have gone ahead

to be with

Jesus

because

He is the reason for the season

because

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Revelations 21:4

I knew that God had sent that little boy To remind me just what Christmas is all about...

The Christmas Shoes~
