If this second is the only
Moment
you will ever have,
are you
Living in theMoment?
Mindfulness~
To be in the moment
and
no where else~
Not in yesterday
Not in tomorrow,
but just right now.
For where you are you are~
but
are you
really
Living in this Moment
or are you somewhere else?
Are you thinking about
What was
or
What will be~
just because
to be in this moment
is a wee bit too scary.?
So how do I
&
how do you
Live each and every moment
without
being somewhere else?
There is
the practice of
Mindfulness~
Setting your heart and your mind
on the
One
Who is in every moment~
"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2
Trusting in Him and not in what is happening in the Moment~
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he Trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
Whether you are alone or with others~
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" Colossians 3:2
In the weak moments~
"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
In the anxious moments~
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
Oh how I wish
I am always so
Mindful
of the
One who is always Mindful of me"~
"What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them." Psalm 8:4
But then again
I can & you can ~
"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing.
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." Philippians 4:8 Mindfulness~
"Keep putting into practice
all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing.
Then the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:9
Mindfulness~
"I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in His sufferings, becoming like Him in his death, and so,
somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead." Philippians 3:10-11
Mindfulness~
whether I feel I am or not~
"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal.." Philippians: 3:12
Mindfulness Living~
"...but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:12-14
Enjoy this very
Moment
and every precious
Moment,
second by second,
because
today has
86400 of them!
