I feel like January is moving slowly.
Maybe it is because I am having a tough time
with
JESUS IS NOT A RESOLUTION.
Now I am the one who started this whole thing,
and GOD is going to have to get me out of this,
(which HE usually does)
and hopefully this morning as we are on Day 12.
So what if
JESUS IS NOT A RESOLUTION.
what would that look like.
Would I just add JESUS to my do list and check HIM off when
I thought about HIM and said HIS name?
Or would I be so focused on
JESUS
that HE was all I was thinking about,
but in a dreaded way~
Like if you have resolved to lose 10 pounds, I bet all you think about is what you can't eat
or if you resolved to exercise every day,
I bet all you would think about is how you don't want to exercise.
Well maybe not, but I know how my brain works.
So If
JESUS IS NOT A RESOLUTION
then I don't have to make HIM a chore
and dread trying to fulfill it.
I can then instead
“Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you.
This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything,
ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking.
If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.” (Mark 11:23-25 The Message)
Hmm...
GOD did it again~
as I woke up late and had nothing to say
but
HE did
as
HE always does
when we just come and sit with
HIM
because
JESUS IS NOT A RESOLUTION~
HE IS JESUS
Who is always waiting for ALL of us to come
~no matter if we feel not good enough
~no matter what we have done
~no matter if we are in the midst of trying to clean up our act
because
JESUS
has an open door policy
as
HE just knocks
and all that we have to do is
Open the door~
"Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear MY voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with ME." Revelation 3:20
