It was just an Ordinary Day.
Everyone going about their business,
but there was some commotion
as people on the streets were watching
A MAN~
carrying a cross to
HIS
Execution.
A MAN
called
JESUS.
But
HE wasn’t just an ordinary MAN~
as
HE claimed to be the
KING OF THE JEWS~
THE SAVIOR!
Yet why would
A KING carry a cross?
So some followed
HIM to the hill
where there were two more crosses
made out of ordinary wood~
nothing special, nothing glittery or gold
& two ordinary men.
Just an ordinary day or was it?
And then it happened~
this
MAN CALLED JESUS
was brutally crucified
with every knock of the hammer against the nails
that hung
HIM on the cross,
&
HE let them.
So
HE had to be ordinary~
because the other two men also hung
on the same crosses with
HIM.
And then it happened.
A conversation took place
between
Three Ordinary Men who hung on three ordinary crosses on
just an ordinary day.
One Said~
If you are a King, then get off
& the other Ordinary man said~
“If you are a King, take me with you”
& then
THE KING
utters the words
“today you will be in paradise with me“ (Luke 23:43)
And HIS next words,
or should I say
HIS LAST WORDS
Were said~
“IT IS FINISHED” (John 19:3O)
The ending to an Ordinary day or was it?
Because something
EXTRAORDINARY
happened~
The earth shook! The veil was torn
“IT IS FINISHED”
Just an Ordinary Man on an Ordinary Cross
Finished it all on a day
that was
EXTRAORDINARY
because every day with
JESUS
is never Ordinary
because
HE DID THE EXTRAORDINARY
for you and I
& did what no ordinary man would do~
Die in our place. Buried in our place
& Rose for us~
So that we can live beyond
our ordinary selves the moment
we are clothed in
HIS RICHES
that
JESUS was born to die to rise for.
Let's
FAST
from being Ordinary right this moment~ because the time is now as we only have today.
And all we "Ordinaries" have to do is
BELIEVE & RECEIVE
in the midst of our ordinary~
Because
GOD SO LOVED the world that
HE made JESUS
an Ordinary Baby so HE could make us
EXTRAORDINARY!
Oh
JESUS did it for you~
Ordinary you & Ordinary me
&
your ordinary neighbor, family member & even your ordinary enemy.
So how many Ordinary men died on the cross
On that
ONE ORDINARY DAY?
Only one remained Ordinary.
How about you?
