The EMPTY MANGER
that awaits the
BIRTH OF A KING
to be born
in a smelly stable
filled with hay.
THE MANGER,
a throne in disguise.
What will you do with the MANGER this CHRISTMAS.
What will you fill it with?
Christmas cookies.
Christmas cards.
Gingerbread houses.
Ugly Christmas sweaters.
Wrapping paper.
Receipts.
Will there be room for
THE BABY?
Yup,
THE BABY.
For what is CHRISTMAS all about CHARLIE BROWN.
Is it about the perfectly decorated tree,
adorned with ornaments and lights
with a star at the top.
THE STAR!
That is it.
Take a look at
THE STAR~
It shouts~
BEHOLD
the star, which they had seen in the east,
went on ahead of them until it came to a stop over the place where
THE CHILD was to be found"
(Matthew 2:9).
THE CHILD.
THE BABY IS BORN.
THE BABY?
WHO IS THIS BABY?
Oh just not an ordinary
BABY,
for HE was
DELIVERED
to
DELIVER you
and me
and everyone else.
"For a CHILD is born to us,
a SON is given to us.
The government will rest on HIS shoulders.
And HE will be called:
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty GOD,
Everlasting FATHER,
PRINCE of PEACE!"
(Isaiah 9:6).
Oh the fruition of THE PROMISE
is HERE!
Will you look at the MANGER.
And don't fill it with anything else
BUT JESUS.
For it is in
THE MANGER
where you will find everything that you will ever NEED.
For JESUS meets all your needs.
Just as parents meet the NEEDS of a little helpless BABY,
THIS BABY born on CHRISTMAS
wasn't helpless,
as HE was born to take away our
helplessness.
For
WHO IS THIS BABY?
HE is
YOUR LIVING HOPE,
YOUR LIVING PEACE,
and
YOUR LIVING JOY
that lasts beyond
THE CHRISTMAS SEASON
because
JESUS isn't a SEASON
HE IS LIFE.
JESUS IS GOD'S YES,
"For every one of God’s promises is “Yes” in him"
(2 Corinthians 1:20)
So HAPPY ADVENT.
Get ready. Get set. And Go.
Make this a CHRISTMAS you will never forget
for when
THE BABY is BIRTHED in your HEART
