You are all INVITED to a
PITY PARTY.
Just bring your complaints.
Make a list of everything
that is going wrong in your life
and all the people who are or have wronged you
and everything that is going wrong in the world.
Oh what a PARTY we will have.
And when the PARTY is over
you get to leave the PARTY with a gift~
SELF PITY.
Would you want to come to my PARTY?
Actually you can have your own
PITY PARTY by yourself,
as sometimes they just happen without your knowing
until you realize that you are
dressed with
SELF PITY~.
Feeling sorry for oneself.
Victim mentality.
Defeatism.
Oh I am having my own PITY PARTY right now
and it is not so fun PARTY
because I didn't
INVITE JESUS
and without JESUS
hopelessness and helplessness are always the main guests.
How quickly I forget when
SELF PITY gets the best of me
because
SELF PITY loves to make you the victim
a prisoner to your own feelings, emotions, and circumstances
when SELF takes center stage.
Move over SELF
because
the main guest has arrived
because I have INVITED JESUS
into my PITY PARTY.
And when you
PUT HIM IN YOUR STORY
the SELF has to leave
and it takes PITY with it
because
JESUS is a gentleman
and HE wants everything that keeps you bound to
SELF PITY~
"Give all your worries, _________* (Put your name) and cares to GOD,
for HE cares about you,_________*" (I Peter 5:7)
Oh hopelessness has turned into HOPE
as JESUS did it once again
as HE always does when I take my eyes off of
MY SELF~
"I, _________*, have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,
whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
I, _________*, can do all this through HIM who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:12-13).
So my friend
I am DIS~INVITING you to a
PITY PARTY
because
JESUS is
"IN THE HOUSE"
