What is your FINEST HOUR?
The moment when you
CHOOSE GOD'S WILL
over yours.
To SAY YES to GOD,
when you would rather say YES to yourself.
What is THE FINEST HOUR?
I am reading the book,
"THE FINEST HOUR",
and I can't move beyond the title,
as I learned
what the
FINEST HOUR
ISN'T!
It isn't fame
It isn't fortune.
It isn't people approval.
It is so much more,
because it is between
you and GOD.
It is
BLESSED OBEDIENCE~
Saying YES to GOD when you want to say NO.
As Rt Kendall, the author of this book writes,
"Your finest hour is one in which you are humbled and learn to lean entirely upon the sovereignty of GOD".
BLESSED OBEDIENCE~
“FATHER, if you are willing, remove this cup from me.
Nevertheless, not MY will, but YOURS, be done"
(Luke 22:42).
Did you catch that?
JESUS,
crying out to HIS FATHER,
at
HIS moment of great pain,
when tears of blood fell from HIS body~
"NOT MY WILL, BUT YOURS BE DONE".
JESUS,
who came to earth as a
BABY,
to do GOD'S WILL,
which wasn't just to be a cute little BABY.
For
GOD'S WILL was to
have HIM nailed to a CROSS.
BLESSED OBEDIENCE~
"NOT MY WILL, BUT YOURS BE DONE",
as JESUS cried out while doing
GOD'S WILL~
"MY GOD, MY GOD, why have you forsaken ME?"
(Matthew 27:46).
Oh those words of
TRUSTING GOD in the midst of a circumstance
of when you don't want to TRUST GOD,
because it is way too painful
to face the pain that is tucked deep inside your soul.
And that my friend is
YOUR FINEST HOUR.
To SURRENDER yourself to GOD'S WILL,
when you would rather
just GIVE UP.
But instead,
you FINISH well,
when you
GIVE UP YOURSELF
to GOD'S WILL~
“You shall love the LORD your GOD with
ALL your heart and with
ALL your soul
and with
ALL your mind"
(Matthew 22:37).
And what is LOVE?
It all began
when
CHRISTMAS
became
a SEED that was GRACIOUSLY placed
in the womb
of a
little virgin girl
who
had her
FINEST HOUR
of
BLESSED OBEDIENCE
when she said
YES to GOD'S WILL~
“I am the LORD'S servant,” Mary answered.
“May YOUR WORD to me be fulfilled”
(Luke 1: 38).
Oh MARY,
full of GRACE,
because
GRACE was in her.
And HE was BORN.
And as she held
THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD
in her arms,
she had to let HIM go
to do
GOD'S WILL.
Her FINEST HOUR
to
LET GO of the BABY
who was leant to her.
For JESUS IS GOD'S SON,
and
HIS CHRISTMAS
became an EASTER
the moment HE was born
because HE was to take a walk
from the CRADLE to the CROSS.
PONDER that,
just as MARY PONDERED,
as she TREASURED
every WORD of TRUTH from GOD that
was breathed upon her.
What TRUTH do you need to PONDER,
so that you will
experience
your
FINEST HOUR,
because you
WILL EXPERIENCE GOD,
as you TRUST GOD
with your ALL?
