Day 19: Not Guilty

Writer's picture: JoniJoni

The JUDGE'S Verdict~

GUILTY!

But who is your JUDGE?.

Is it someone who is JUDGING you?

Or is it yourself JUDGING your own self?

Have you ever put yourself in the courtroom

to give yourself

your own verdict of

GUILTY?

Ouch!

Oh I have many times,

when others have

SHAMED

me

or when I have

SHAMED myself.

So is it

GUILTY or NOT GUILTY?

It depends on who is your JUDGE.

"I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed,

I do not even judge myself"

(I Corinthians 4:3).

Is that Paul being self righteous?

The same man who said~

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance:

CHRIST JESUS came into the world to save sinners~

of whom I am the worst"

(I Timothy 1:15)

But doesn't it sound like he is JUDGING himself?

And then I read

the very next sentence

that takes all JUDGEMENT away~

"But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me,

the worst of sinners,

CHRIST JESUS

might display

HIS immense patience

as an example for those who would

believe

in HIM and receive eternal life"

(I Timothy 1:6).

JUDGE not you.

JUDGE not me.

Because

THE JUDGE

is not me

and

THE JUDGE

is not you.

It is

THE ONE

who throws down

the gavel,

pushing the nails into the

hands and the feet

of

HIS ONE AND ONLY SON

and

speaks the words

"NOT GUILTY".

HIS final words.

But does that mean we were never or will ever be GUILTY?

Oh no,

as Paul continues to tells us~

"My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent.

It is the LORD who judges me"

(I Corinthians 4:4).

Never innocent

or

JESUS wouldn't have had to take the judgement,

but

what remains is

having a clear conscience

that the only opinion

that matters is the

one

JUDGE

who

took away THE GUILTY verdict,

once and for all,

which

allows you and I

to leave the courtroom,

and leave

the JUDGING to

the ONE who has

released me

and

has released you

from

living from a position

of

GUILT and SHAME

and

from

putting the verdict of

GUILT and SHAME on anyone else.

There is the

DOOR

with the

NOT GUILTY

sign above its doorposts

for one and for ALL

to enter.

"I am the Door; anyone who enters through ME will be saved,

and will live forever,

and will go in and out freely,

and

find pasture~

spiritual security"

(John 10:9 AMP).

So do you want to live as

GUILTY

or

"NOT GUILTY" *
