Day 20: Make Tears

 My HEART hurts,

as LIFE has a way of HURTING HEARTS.

SUDDENLY

your LIFE can change,

in a dramatic way.

A friend's husband

SUDDENLY passes from this LIFE.

A friend gets health test results,

that may have revealed cancer.

Friends who miss their children,

who have been in heaven.

Another friend is fighting the cancer battle.

Another friend is lonely.

Another friend is watching her friend

taking his last breaths.

Another friend

is watching her family fall apart.

Families are estranged.

As I know too well.

My HEART hurts,

for my HEART and for so many other HEARTS.

LIFE HAPPENS WHEN WHAT YOU HAVE PLANNED HAS CHANGED.

My HEART hurts BIG.

But TEARS release the HURT.

TEARS can be overwhelming,

yet so freeing,

when you allow your

HEART to

MAKE TEARS,

so that you

CRY

and

MOURN,

when

BROKENNESS comes your way.

No one is exempt from TEARS,

even JESUS.

Oh HE shed them.

One. Two. Three.

To the ONE who would catch each and every one of them~

"While HE lived on earth,

anticipating death,

JESUS cried out in pain

and wept in sorrow as

HE offered up priestly prayers to GOD

Because HE honored GOD, GOD answered HIM"

And what was one of the prayers of JESUS?

A PRAYER OF TEARS

that oozed from HIS whole body~

"And being in agony [deeply distressed and anguished;

almost to the point of death],

HE prayed more intently; and HIS sweat became like drops of blood,

falling down on the ground"

(Luke 22:44).

JESUS FEELS YOUR TEARS

because

JESUS MADE TEARS.

 "I MADE TEARS"

are the words from

the mouth of our precious grandson,

years ago,

after his first day of pre-school.

Missing his mommy & daddy

in a new environment

he told them~

"I MADE TEARS".

Oh how this pierces my heart,

as doesn't it yours,

as can't you relate?

It doesn't take much,

when your heart wants to talk,

yet all you can do is

MAKE TEARS~

the release of your heart cries

of what you are deeply feeling in the moment.

Or maybe you don't

MAKE TEARS,

but really want to,

yet are afraid to

because if you did

you would really have to feel what you are feeling.

We all have them

tucked inside,

that we hold back at times

when we don't want to feel

what our heart wants to cry.

I MADE TEARS~

To feel the pain,

 the anguish,

 the sorrow & grief

and just let it flow.

What if you stopped for a moment

to feel what you may be afraid to feel,

and become that vulnerable

so that you could and would be

just like

JESUS

because

HE made TEARS~

"JESUS WEPT"

 (John 11:35).

The shortest verse in the bible,

yet so powerful

because

THE ONE

who is your strength in the midst of our weakness,

feels your weakness

because

JESUS MADE TEARS.

And one day,

TEARS will be something of the past

that you or I will never have to make because of the

ONE WHO WEPT~

"HE will wipe away every tear from their eyes;

and there will no longer be any death;

there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain;

the first things have passed away"

(Revelation 21:4).

Oh my friend

MAKE TEARS

and RELEASE all the BROKENNESS

that may be on your HEART,

so that

THE ONE WHO WEPT

will swoop in

and meet you right where you are

and fill you with

MORE OF HIM.

For TEARS are TEMPORARY~.

"For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]!

So we look not at the things which are seen,

but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting],

but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable"

(2 Corinthians 4: 17-18).

Therefore,

"LOOK UP CHILD"

(listen to the song below)
