The Judge's Verdict~
GUILTY!
The judge is me,
as
I put myself in the courtroom
and give myself
my own verdict~
GUILTY!
And
then I read the words penned by
Paul~
"I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed,
I do not even judge myself"
(I Corinthians 4:3).
The same man who said~
"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance:
CHRIST JESUS came into the world to save sinners~
of whom I am the worst"
(I Timothy 1:15)
But doesn't it sound like he is judging himself?
And then I read
the very next sentence
that takes all judgment away~
"But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me,
the worst of sinners,
CHRIST JESUS
might display
HIS immense patience
as an example for those who would
believe
in HIM and receive eternal life"
(I Timothy 1:6).
Judge not you.
Judge not me
because
THE JUDGE
is not me
and
THE JUDGE
is not you.
It is
THE ONE
who throws down
the gavel
pushing the nails into the
hands and the feet
of
HIS ONE AND ONLY SON
and
says the words
"NOT GUILTY".
HIS final words.
But does that mean we were never or will ever be GUILTY?
Oh no,
as Paul continues to tells us~
"My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent.
It is the LORD who judges me"
(I Corinthians 4:4).
Never innocent
or
JESUS wouldn't have had to take the judgement,
but
what remains is
having a clear conscience
that the only opinion
that matters is the
one
JUDGE
who
took away THE GUILTY verdict,
once and for all,
and now that
allows me
and
allows you
to leave the courtroom
and leave
the judging to
the ONE who has
released me
and
has released you
from
living from a position
of
GUILT and SHAME
and
from
putting the verdict of
GUILT and SHAME on anyone else.
There is the
DOOR
with the
NOT GUILTY
sign above its doorposts
for one and for ALL
to enter.
"I am the Door; anyone who enters through ME will be saved,
and will live forever,
and will go in and out freely,
and
find pasture~
spiritual security"
(John 10:9 AMP).
So do you want to live as
GUILTY
or
"NOT GUILTY"
