As I make my morning espresso
it ends up all over my white counters
reminding me of how I am a pretty messy "cooker".
After I make my espresso
my kitchen looks like I just made
thanksgiving dinner.
No matter how hard I try
there are
black speckles
&
black rings of coffee
all over the place and even on my white robe.
Just ask my hubby
as he wipes under his cup every morning
checking for the evidence.
And there it is.
What if, just what if
we could only dress in
PURE WHITE
and every time
we did something & we said something & we thought something
that was not very
PURE
we would get a black mark.
You know~
when you say the "unwholesome talk" about someone else or even yourself
or
when you do what you know you shouldn't do but you do it anyway
or
when you think that something that you should not be thinking but you think it anyway.
Oh what if?
Would you still be wearing WHITE?
Oh yes
if you were covered in RED.
The RED of CHRIST
The bloodshed on Good Friday
that brings us to RESURRECTION SUNDAY
where
there is no longer the striving for perfection
because we are incapable of living spot free
as long as we are dressed in the skin that we are dressed in.
So what if you didn't have to strive any longer.
What if you didn't have to be
PERFECT
in order to
be
ACCEPTED
SIGNIFICANT
&
SECURE.
What if you could
be
RESTORED
RENEWED
REDEEMED
and live
SPOTLESS.
Do you want to wear PURE WHITE?
Oh thank YOU JESUS
for wearing RED so we can wear white~
"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool" (Isaiah 1:18)
FROM RAGS TO RICHES.
Let's wear HIS RED first
and journey together
to
Live in HIS RESURRECTION
as
RESTORED. RENEWED. REDEEMED.
through the month of APRIL
because
HE wore RED so we could LIVE IN WHITE!
"THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE BLOOD" (listen to the song below)
